YAYA Media would not exist without support from the community:

Special Thanks to The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound

  • The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound awarded a $2,500 grant to YAYA Media. This is the second year The Community Foundation has supported TCTV’s youth media program. In 2006, a $2,000 matching grant helped us purchase the video and editing equipment we use for YAYA.

Special Thanks to Olympia Federal Savings

  • A generous $2,500 contribution from Olympia Federal Savings will help expand and sustain our YAYA Media Program in 2008. We are all delighted have this new partnership with such a successful local financial institution.

YAYA Media

What We Do

We provide young people and youth groups with video production classes, facilitation, mentoring, and access to video production equipment, with ever increasing demands for expanded media access services for high risk young people and their allies.

Projects & Partnerships

We are proud to partner with local youth-service organizations to create meaningful youth-led video projects. Our community partners include: Programs of Community Youth Services , Partners in Prevention Education, and TOGETHER!

We've helped develop a youth-led PSA project for sexual assault awareness month and facilitated over sixty hours of media workshops for street youth. In 2006 a total of fifty young people accessed YAYA Media services including meetings, training and workshops, fifteen young people were provided with TCTV membership scholarships, six young people completed all the training necessary to become fully certified TCTV members and two youth have continued to work with YAYA Media as peer educators and facilitators. We are now working on an extensive documentary about meth use in Thurston County.

Please contact us if you are interested in designing a youth media program or youth media workshops at your organization!
